Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! I haven't been blogging for soooo long and it feels weird to be back here, typing a blog post. We went to Bali on September last year to celebrate our anniversary and I wanted to blog about it because I want to keep it as kind of a journal. I didn't do any journal during my trip because we wanted to just relax and enjoy our time together and not worry about anything else.
Our flight departed at 9 AM and it took about 3 hours to arrive in Ngurah Rai International Airport, in Denpasar, Bali. I was so nervous during take off (or maybe the whole 3 hours in the plane) and almost got a panic attack because of the bumpy ride 🤦♀️ Alhamdulillah everything went well. My husband was so relaxed, he fell asleep right after take off 🤣

A compulsory photo if you're in a flight 😅
My inflight meal. It was quite good!
Recommended places and activities when you're in Bali
(who's also our travel guide) and rented a car to travel in Bali. They have all these packages where they charge a certain amount of money and they'll bring us wherever we want to go.
It was our first time in Bali and we had zero idea where to go or what to do in Bali. We were lucky that we found Dewa at the airport, or else we wouldn't know what to do. We got an MPV for just the two of us and it was so comfortable!
We got popsicles and cold towels as the welcome treat. So refreshing!
We booked a room at The Stones, Legian for 3 nights through Booking.com and we were satisfied. We paid IDR 5,665,000 (approx. RM1700) for 3 nights, not the cheapest but quite okay for a 4-star hotel. The security was very good as you have to go through a security check before going in, every single time. Room was okay but the rate didn't include free breakfast so it was quite disappointing.

We didn't do any activities the first day because we were so tired and we decided to just explore the Kuta town since our hotel was near to the town. We had lunch at Burger King at Discovery Mall and then we rented a scooter to travel around the town for the first day. That didn't work because riding a scooter in Bali can be very challenging 😂 We returned the scooter back to the shop and head back to our hotel and called it a day.
I wrote in the app (Booking.com) that we were celebrating our anniversary and they noted it. Thank you The Stones!
We wanted to order pizza from Pizza Hut but unfortunately they can't deliver to our hotel so we ended up with the room service. We didn't know about GO-JEK so yeah, we kinda wasted our money on room service. But the pizza was super good so no regrets.
So that was it for day 1. Thank you so much for reading this post ❤❤
