Tutorial: 'No Makeup' Makeup Feat. Colours Cosmetics Tapered Crease Blender Brush

Hi guys! If you read my previous post, I said that I've done a tutorial using Colours Cosmetics brand new brush which is the Tapered Crease Blender Brush. I made this eye look using only Colours Cosmetics' brush to show how versatile it is. I created this 'no-makeup' look to test out how well this brush performs and surprisingly, it is quite impressive. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial and let me know if you've tried it. All products used will be listed down below. :)

Products used:
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in 51 Light Vanilla and 56 Light Bronze (I mix a little bit of 56 to make 51 darker)
LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Pure Beige as an under eye corrector.
Maybelline Pure Mineral Healthy Natural Concealer in 01 Light as a brightener and to cover spots or blemishes.
Silky White Magic BB White Powder Foundation in 01 Light as a setting powder.
Essence Bronzing Compact Powder in Matt as bronzer and contour.
- Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush in 001 Petal.
theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer as my highlighter.

- Holika Holika Wonder Drawing 24 Hour Auto Eyebrow Pencil in 01 Gray Black
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow Pencil in #2 Gray Brown.
Daiso Clear Mascara (Blue tube) to set my brows in place.
LORAC Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.
- theBalm Nude 'Tude Palette (Review here) - Sultry and Stubborn
Elianto Splendour Shadows (Review here) in 13 Saddle Brown.
Maybelline Hypercurl Volum' Express Mascara.
Rimmel London Scandal'Eyes Mascara.
- Haruhada Bee Lovely Honey Lip Balm
- NYX Round Lipstick in Pure Nude (Review here)

BH Cosmetics 12 Pieces Classic Brush Set - Powder Brush, Fan Brush
BH Cosmetics 10 Pieces Eco Brush Set - Powder Brush
Colours Cosmetics Tapered Crease Blender Brush (Review here)
- Daiso Eyelash Curler
- Blender Sponge (not Beauty Blender)

Using Colours Cosmetics Tapered Crease Blender Brush, I took 'Sultry' and applied it to the crease and blended it out a little bit.

This is how it looks after applying the eyeshadow.

I also applied a bit of 'Sultry' on my lower lash line.

I took 'Stubborn' and applied on all over my eyelid just because I love shimmery eye looks.

And then I took 'Saddle Brown' and applied it on my outer V to darken it and then blend it all in again. I also applied some on my lower lash line, just the outer part of it.

I curled my lashes a few times before applying mascaras.

I applied a coat of Maybelline Hypercurl Volum' Express Mascara.

After that, I applied generous coats (around 2 coats) of Rimmel London Scandal'Eyes Mascara to make my lashes look fuller. I usually don't apply mascara on my lower lashes because I have really tiny and straight lower lashes so it's hard to apply mascara to them. If you have a recommendation for a good lower lashes mascara that won't smudge, please let me know! :)

And voila, it's all done! So easy, right?

I forgot to apply lipstick in this picture. :P

Here's a full face photo for you. Loving my eyebrows in this picture!

Here's a pictorial for an easier guide.

So that is the end of the tutorial. I hope you guys enjoyed the tutorial and please let me know if you've tried the tutorial, I'd love to see your version of this look. :) Also, what do you think about my tutorial? Should I do more tutorials in the future? Let me know in the comment section below. :) Thank you guys so much for reading this post and stay tuned for a lot more.

P.S: All photos were taken by my lovely sister, Nadhirah Ismailjee. Thank you sis!

Review: Colours Cosmetics Tapered Crease Blender Brush

Hi guys! So, Colours Cosmetics came out with a new brush just recently and I had the chance to be one of the firsts to try it, a big thank you to Joanne! :) Without any further ado, let's begin the review!

RM 35 at (postage fee is not included)

The Colours Cosmetics Tapered Crease Blender Brush is Colours Cosmetics' second brush. Their first one is the Flat Top Foundation Brush. I personally love that brush, so cute and easy to travel with! When I found out that they're coming out with another brush, I was so excited and happy to see them growing with more brushes. What I love about Colours Cosmetics' brushes is that they're made of synthetic bristles, being a muslim, I always am concerned about what kind of bristles the brush made of. So this brush is 100% halal and 100% cruelty free, which also means that it's good for vegans! Yayy for that! :) The bristles are very, very soft, and pretty stiff at the same time. They claimed that the brush is specially designed for Asian eyes or small eyes, to be exact. I have pretty small eyes and I have to agree, this brush is really great for blending! I always loved my Coastal Scents blending brush but it's a little too big for my eyes sometimes. I've made a tutorial using only this brush earlier, will post it out later!

The handle is made of the same material like the previous one but this time they've changed the brand's sticker into a permanent printed one. I haven't washed the brush yet (I know, I'm bad, but I don't have time to wash it) so I have no idea if it will shed or bleed. There was no shedding during the first use so that's good. Back to how it performs. I've tried this brush for all purposes, applying eyeshadows, blending, precise blending. Surprisingly, it works for everything! You can apply eyeshadows using this brush without losing the intensity due to the stiffness of the bristles, you can use it to blend your eyeshadows, you can also use it as a pencil brush. I love using it as a pencil brush to apply shadows to my crease and lower lash line. It's so perfect for that! What I love the most about this brush is the bristles. I've tried several blending brushes before and some of them are not too soft to the point that it will irritate my delicate eyelids everytime I use it. Seriously, it hurts really bad! But that's not the case with brush, this brush makes it so easy to blend eyeshadows effortlessly.

The first time I use it, I used it as a blending brush. I usually use a fluffier blending brush to blend eyeshadows so it takes time to get used to this brush. I think it would be good for beginners, if you're new to makeup and you haven't mastered the blending techniques, this brush is the one for you. I, myself am still a beginner and I say this brush is perfect! I love how versatile it is, you can use it for cream products, powders, anything, and it can be used in many different ways too! My favourite use for this brush is to apply shadows to my crease and lower lash line, it applies shadows precisely and perfectly everytime. This brush is definitely a new favourite!

Super soft bristles
Doesn't irritate the delicate eye area

I can't think of any!

Absolutely! Especially beginners! :)

So that is the end of my review. Stay tuned for an upcoming tutorial using this brush. Thank you so much for reading and hope you guys enjoy reading this post. :)

P.S: A big thanks to my lovely sister, Nadhirah Ismailjee for these gorgeous photos! :)

P.P.S: This product was sent for review purposes. That, however did not change any of my opinions.

Beaut and the Beast's New Look!

Hello everyone! It feels like it has been so long since I last wrote a 'proper blog post'.  I just don't have time to do reviews like I used to when I first started blogging. Kind of saddens me, but I'll try my best to change it and update as much as I can.

So as you can already see, I've changed my blog layout and I'm proud to say that I made it all by myself. ^-^ I worked really hard for this change and I'm quite happy with the outcome. I'm not going to lie, I still miss my old layout and all the features that's available in the 'Dynamic Views' layout but it can be pain in the ass to edit the layout. I was trying to customise the old layout to make it look cooler but then I messed up with the codes and everything and then the whole customised layout went back to the original layout. I was like, "THAT'S IT, I'M GOING TO CHANGE IT TO THE NORMAL LAYOUT!". Though I didn't really scream at anybody but that was how I really feel inside.

I didn't change the layout right away because I was kind of afraid that I can't cope with the new layout which seemed more complicated than the old layout. After doing some research and a lot of Google-ing, I finally figured out how it works and, voila, here's the new layout!

I hand-painted (well, not really, I painted it digitally, using my mouse, to be truthful :P) the roses on my header just for fun without thinking it would actually look good but it does, to me, at least. So yay, finally a header for my blog! The old layout didn't have a header because I prefer it without a header. I might change more things on this current layout because, I don't know, I'm still not fully satisfied with the overall look. Anyway, here's a before and after:

I changed the background into a warmer pink but still a baby pink, because it's my favourite colour. I love pink, it's such a feminine colour, and it matches my blog's name so perfectly, I mean that's just my opinion. Hehe. So yeah. What do you guys think about the new look? Do you like it or hate it? :P Anyway, thank you so much for reading this post, stay tuned for a lot more. :)
